Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense) is common in much of the temperate Northern Hemisphere. The name comes from the appearance of the mature plant that resembles a horse's tail. Horsetail Grass, an ancient perennial flowerless plant, is valued for the high silica content of its dried stems.
